This month we sat down with Sara (Rex) from Rexpert Marketing, who runs a NO-BS, Digital Marketing Agency, that prides themselves in delivering real results. Sara has built her business on absolute transparency - from the way she interacts with her clients, to the way she has built her brand. In this interview she explains why SEO is the way to go and how the future of your business depends on it.

First of all, I love your office here at Fusion… Tell us a little bit about the inspiration behind it.

I would describe my office as “inviting”. I wanted to create a space where the focus is solely on discussion. At the same time, I wanted it to feel peaceful. I have created a work zone where I can go at my own pace and get the job done right.

What type of marketing do you specialize in?

I specialize in search engine optimization – helping clients rank on google according to keywords that relate to their business. My network has been building over the years… first we hired a graphic designer, then a web developer, now we have social media managers, and a full-blown marketing team. We have over 40 years of combined professional marketing expertise. We primarily do web design, SEO, social media management, and business listing management.

You have such a bold brand - Where do you get this bold attitude and drive from?

I get my drive from being the underdog working for a different digital marketing company. I knew when I started my business, I was going to come out the gate running. I always want my clients to understand that we have the attitude of: “If you want us to help you, WE WILL WIN!” I wanted that to translate in the way the brand looks too. When I was talking to my graphic designer about creating my logo, I said, “I want it to be bold, I want it to be a little bit harsh, very in your face, and to get the point across that we’re here to dominate the market.”

Will you share a story with us about a time you helped one of your clients?

One of our valued clients is a well-respected Chiropractor in Beverly Hills has been in business for 35 years at his same location, but his online presence was lacking. He wasn’t able to reach the market in his neighborhood to those who haven’t already heard of his name. So, we dialed in… We built him a new website, updated his SEO, and now he is getting calls from all over LA.

Best piece of advice for businesses just starting out?

If you’re just starting a business, you really want to get clients right away without having to spend a ton of money on commercials, radio advertisements, etc. that don’t necessarily hit home. SEO is the way to go because people are already searching for your service. So that’s what we help you show up for!

What is your passion?

When I am not in my office, or running my marketing agency, I am an English professor… so my real passion is being able to connect with students. I carry my personality with me everywhere, so I am as real as it gets when it comes to interacting with the students. It certainly is my happy place.
