Live Scan is the electronic fingerprinting process that replaces traditional ink fingerprinting. An individual’s fingerprints are scanned and securely transmitted to the government, which performs a criminal history background check using an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). Live Scan is often required by statute for certain types of state-issued licenses, employment, and volunteer work.
IW Livescan Fingerprinting serves our community with California Department of Justice and FBI approved Livescan and Background Checks for School Volunteers, Security Firms, Employment Screening, Professional Licenses, Department of Education, Department of Motor Vehicles, and special events, etc.
How did you get started in your industry?
I retired after 30 years of working in the medical field and decided I wanted to open up a new business in this field because I enjoy contributing to my community. I think that this field not only allows me to help my community but also represents the Department of Justice in California.
What is something about your business that most people do not know?
How easy, fast, reliable and accurate the Livescan is. Also, the information gets transmitted right away.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
I see my business progressing toward a more investigative element. This would include doing interstate and international background investigations for the most accurate and current information for companies and individuals. I also envision doing background checks that include missing persons
Tell me about yourself?
I am very personable, enjoy the outdoors (tennis, golf, bicycling). I enjoy photography, books and learning new things. I am passionate about my sublimation art, this is my hobby where I take pictures and I put them different mediums including Italian tile, metal panels, canvas, apparel and hardboard
