Faces of Palm Desert with Justin Stuller

One of the best parts of our community at Fusion Workplaces is getting to know our members... and employees! We enjoy being able to learn more about what everyone does not just on a professional level, but on a personal one as well. Justin Stuller recently joined our Palm Desert community as our new General Manager. We hope you enjoy getting to learn more about Justin!

Tell us about yourself and what you do?

Graduating from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2013 with my Bachelors in Political Science and minors in Public Relations and Environmental Law, I relocated to San Diego, CA where I continued work in residential leasing and attained my real estate license. In March of 2021 we purchased a home in Palm Springs, CA. Having grown up in the extreme weather of Alaska, I can now say I’ve experienced the opposite extreme and we love it here!

How did you get started in your industry?

I grew up in a small town in Alaska where I worked in tourism management and multimedia advertising/sales. I then became a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and worked with local charities and developed a passion for both community involvement.

My career path took me to San Diego where I spent 6 years in residential leasing. My passion for helping people to find a home continued to grow and I wanted to begin exploring other areas of the industry that were more focused on business support and community relations. This led me to the amazing opportunity to work with Fusion Workplaces here in Palm Desert.

What is something about your business that most people do not know?

A lot of people do not realize how important client referrals are for us. Word of mouth remains one of the most powerful and influential forms of reference. Online presence obviously has become quite powerful but simple word of mouth referrals from current or past members is crucial for our success. Therefore, we always strive to ensure the upmost satisfaction for our members. Another aspect people may not realize is how customizable our offices can be. Like a tailored suit, we can fit the needs of your business perfectly. We are not a one size fits all business, that is what makes us unique.

Where do you see your business in 5 years?

I believe the traditional workplace has begun a significant change, especially with all that has happened within the last year. Despite the challenges many people and businesses learned to successfully operate in new and different ways. Our business tailors to those new trends and continues to adapt with the times. Within 5 years I see shared workspaces being a substantial part of our local, national, and global economy. Helping to support work/life balance, all the traditional amenities of an office building with customized services for each member to ensure their continued success.

Other than work, what are you passionate about?

I love to cook! One of my favorite things is to cook a feast for family and friends to enjoy. While I have never had any “professional” training I like to consider myself a “Food Network” taught chef.

Event planning and hosting has always been a huge passion of mine. I very much enjoy starting with an idea, working through the planning and logistics and executing events of all sizes and type. From small dinner parties, private corporate events, weddings, and large scale like state and local fairs.

What types of activities or hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?

Being from Alaska I always enjoy spending my free time outdoors. Hiking, swimming, and replacing snowboarding for surfing when I moved to California. I have always been an avid fisherman (being in the desert makes that difficult).

I have been an emcee for many different events over the years. Most of which are for non-profit organizations like BCDC, State Fair’s and Special Olympics. I love working with these organizations to help bring a cause to light and a fun event for all to enjoy.

I have 2 large dogs who insist they are lap dogs; they take a lot of love and care. We go to the dog parks, on hikes and lots of fetch in the yard. I will also always make time to relax, unwind and enjoy the sun and warmth here in the desert!
